15 year residential proof for caste certificate

Bhopal, Jun 26: Residential proof of the past 15 years instead of the existing stipulation of being domicile since 1950 will be made mandatory for issuing certificates to members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an assurance in this regard to a delegation of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha here yesterday. The Front sought simplification of the procedure to issuing of SC and ST certificates, official sources said.
