YSR to seek changes to Prez order on GO 610
Hyderabad, Jun 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said he would seek an amendment to the Presidential Order to enable institutions and organisations like APSRTC, Universities and Public Sector Undertakings to implement GO 610 in letter and spirit.
The amendment was necessary as there were several legal hurdles for these institutions to implement the GO meant for providing jobs to Telangana people, he said during a review meeting with officials here.
Expressing serious concern over the slow process in recruitment of locals as constables in the Police Department, Dr Reddy directed officials concerned to implement the GO 610 with all seriousness.
The officials told him the government departments had identified 17,648 employees who were holding the posts in deviation of the Presidential order, as on date. Repatriation orders were issued in respect of 8,716 employees, an official release said.
