Tata Chem FY08 net up 113.67% at Rs 949.18 cr

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) Tata Chemicals Ltd today said its net profit has increased 113.67 per cent to Rs 949.18 crore for the year ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 444.21 crore for the previous fiscal.

Total income has also shot up 13.70 per cent to Rs 4,642.20 crore for FY08 from Rs 4,082.78 crore for FY07.

The Group's net profit stood at Rs 964.40 crore for the year ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 508.04 crore during FY07, up 89.82 per cent.

The Group's total income also hiked 11.66 per cent to Rs 6,589.88 crore for FY08 from Rs 5,901.39 crore for FY07.
