Nitish announces compensation of Rs ten lakhs to wife of slain BDO

Patna, Jun 24 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced a compensation of Rs ten lakh to the wife of slain Ariari BDO Arvind Kumar Mishra, who was shot dead by criminals in Sheikhpura on Sunday.

Mr Kumar also announced that the government job would be provided to one eligible member of the bereaved family.

''A high-level inquiry will be conducted into the killing of Mishra and Inspector Generals of Bhagalpur and CID have been instructed to reach on the spot for the investigation immediately,'' Mr Kumar said.

The Chief Minister expressed his sorrow over the killing of Mishra and described it as the loss of an upright officers.
