'Lack of confidence' on leadership caused resignation: Chief whip

Tirupati, Jun 24 (UNI) The resignation of Senior Telugu Desam lesder T Devender Goud from the party was due to ''lack of confidence'' on its party leadership, Congress Chief Whip Reddy claimed here today.

Speaking to reporters after attending various programmes along with Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajashekara Reddy in the temple town, he said the latest development in the TDP reflected ''no confidence'' among the leader on the party leadership.'' He strongly condemned the remarks made by Srikakulam MP and TDP leader K Yerran Naidu that Congress was involved in Goud's resignation.
