Geelani under house arrest in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI)Chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani was today put under house arrest, official sources said.
They said Geelani has been asked not to leave his house till further orders, spokesman for the Hurriyat conference Aiyaz Akbar told UNI that a large number of police personnel have been deployed outside the Hyderpora residence of Geelani.
Geelani was informed that he has been put under house arrest.
