3 service chiefs to meet Antony over Sixth Pay Commission reco

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) Three chiefs of the Armed forces along with members of the Empowered Committee would meet Defence Minister A K Antony here on Thursday to discuss various issues relating to the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

According to Defence Ministry sources, the Empowered Committee led by Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar is likely to submit a report to the government shortly after seeking suggestions from the Armed forces about the changes they desire in the recommendations of the Pay Commission report.

The members of the Armed forces were not happy about the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission report and claimed that various factors involved in their deployment in forward areas and tough working conditions were ignored.
