Police head constable commits suicide near RSS HQ
Nagpur, Jun 21 (UNI) A police head constable, member of the security deployed around the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters here, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon today.
The deceased, Sanjay Gupta (45) shot a bullet from his service carbine inside a makeshift cabin in the area shortly after he arrived on duty this morning.
Gupta had assigned duties to the guards under him before he went into the cabin, police said.
A suicide note, left behind by Gupta, stated that he took the extreme step due to 'domestic reasons,' police added.
The RSS headquarters in Mahal area of the city has been under a thick security blanket ever since the gunning down of three suspected terrorists, when they tried to storm the building two years ago.
