Deshmukh announces compensation, appeals for peace
Mumbai, Jun 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced a compensation of Rs two lakh to the kin of the dead person, who was killed in a firing incident at Mulund, an eastern suburb, yesterday.
Mr Deshmukh also announced Rs 25,000 as relief to the injured and appealed the members of Sikh community to maintain peace.
A group of Sikh community had held a protest against Ram Rahim Singh, a controversial spiritual leader of Dera Sachcha Sauda sect, at Nirmal Lifestyle Mall in Mulund, when his bodyguard opened fire.
