Chandra stresses for creation of new generation of entrepreneurs

Bangalore, June 21 (UNI) IIM Bangalore Director Pankaj Chandra today urged the need to create of new generation of entrepeneurs for generation of jobs and wealth for the country.

Prof Chandra speaking on the occasion of Graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Business (MPEFB) here said that the IIM-B on its part would chalk out new programmes for the development of high-tech entrepreneurs grounded well in fundamental principles of business.

Stating that job opportunities in the country were coming down despite the growth in GDP, he said that the creation of entrpreneurs would surely help in creating more number of jobs and wealth.

Referring to the MPEFB programme he said that it had been able to provide a unique methodalogy to equip the entrepreneurs with critical business management inputs leading to the enhancing of the quality of business management skills in entrepreneures firms in the country by providing workable model.

Atleast 33 graduates were awarded the certificates in the ceremony.

The 16-month programme was conducted by U21Global, NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreurial Learning and IIM-B.
