Air chief's trial landing at Leh helipad

New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal F H Major made a trial landing at a training pillar helipad at Leh, and interacted with air warriors at the Base Camp in Siachen Glacier during his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir which ended today.

The helipad at air force station Leh has been especially made for training of helicopter pilots to land at very small size table top helipads in the Glacier region.

The Air Chief also visited air force station Thoise, a Defence Ministry release said.
