650 'patwaris' to be appointed in C'garh soon

Raipur, June 21 (UNI) In view of shortage of 'patwaris' for newly-created patwari-areas in Chhattisgarh, 650 'patwaris' would be appointed in the state soon.

State Revenue and Tourism Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has issued directions to start the procedure for recruitment at the earliest in a transparent manner.

The government had decided to create a patwari area in every two gram panchayats. Under this decision, 1,820 new 'patwari halkas' had been created. The government had created 650 posts for 'patwaris' previous year and as many posts this year.
