Land consolidation to be launched soon in Bihar-Minister
Saharsa, Jun 20 (UNI) Bihar Land Reforms and Revenue Minister Narendra Narayan Yadav today said the land consolidation programme would be launched shortly in the state.
After reviewing the land reform programmes in the district, Mr Yadav said here that the government was contemplating to empower the subdivisional officers for handling the matters related to land reforms.
For speedy disposal of the official matters and for smooth handling of the land related problems, he said, special camps would be organised at Panchayat level in which land mutation would be done and land recepit would be handed over to the owners.
Mr Yadav further stated that the government had also decided to construct pucca roads to connect the villages with a population of 500 and Rs 600 crore had been sanctioned for the purpose in the current fiscal.
Special drive would also be launched for regularisation of land related data and for this the department was being computerised, he said.
