AITUC appeal to Minister on mills

Puducherry, June 20 (UNI) The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) here today urged union minister of state for planning and Parliamentary affairs V Narayansami to take immediate steps to fully delink the Swadeshi and Sri Bharathi textile mills from National Textile Corporation.

In a statement here today AITUC leader V Abishegam said that eventhough the two mills were taken over by the territorial administration three years back, it has not paid any concrete attention to provide the due of Rs.26.19 crore resulting in NTC claiming that the mills were still under it's control.

He also pointed out that the union government had agreed to pay the amount to NTC and it was yet to be paid.
