Aided by sons, woman kills father-in-law
Jind, Jun 20 (UNI) A woman, aided by two sons, allegedly killed her father-in-law by clubbing him to death over a land dispute in Jind district of Haryana, police said today.
Data Ram (70) was beaten hard with a ''thapi'' (washing bat) by his two grandsons Ram Mehar and Rakesh and daughter-in-law Santro, following heated arguments over a land dispute at Belarkhan village yesterday.
The seriously wounded was found crying in pain by the neighbours who urged his family members to take him to hospital.
The family members, however, refused to take Data Ram to hospital.
Disappointed by the apathetic attitude of the accused, the neighbours informed the police about the incident. Police later took Data Ram to Narwana civil hospital, where he succumbed late last evening.
Before succumbing, the deceased alleged that the accused had beaten him badly.
Police registered an FIR against the trio under charges of culpable homicide and started investigations.
