Two killed in road accidents in Pondy

Puducherry, Jun 19: Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents here today.

According to police, Suresh(16), studying in tenth standard at a school in Vadanur, was killed on the spot when a tanker lorry hit his cycle while he was returning from tution class.

The lorry driver Murugan was arrested.

In another accident, Ramesh alias Manikandan of Moolakkulam, was killed when the motorcycle in which he was riding hit another motorcycle ridden by Arivazhagan last night. Both of them sustained injuries.

They were admitted to the Government General Hospital here where Manikandan succumbed to injuries this morning.
