TV actress Leena lodges complaint against father-in-law

Mumbai, Jun 19 (UNI) TV actress Leena has accused her father-in-law of sending goons to her house and forcibly evicting her family in the city.

Goregaon police said they have taken a NC complaint in this regard and investigation was on but refused to comment more on it.

According to the reports, Prabhu (Shobha mami of famous TV serial Main Teri Parchhai Hoon) had approached Goregaon police after her husband Sudhir (36) was beaten up by his father's henchmen.

She alleged the police refused to register an FIR, citing Congress President Sonia Gandhi's visit to the city as the reason.

When contacted, the actresse said at around 1030 hrs yesterday when she was shooting her neighbour informed her to about the incident over the phone.

''I rushed home and saw my father-in-law telling 15-16 goons to beat up Sudhir. When I intervened, around four women came to hit me.

We were thrown out of the house at knife point and my father-in-law locked the door saying he had sold the house,'' Leena said.

Parbhu's father-in-law Mohan and mother-in-law Seema also left the house.
