SC dismisses anticipatory bail plea of constable in Kidney racket
New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition of Delhi police head constable seeking anticipatory bail in the Kidney racket case.
A vacation bench comprising Justices Arijit Pasayat and G S Singhvi dismissed the Special Leave Petition (SPL) of Vijay Bahadur, who is wanted by the police for his alleged involvement in the Kidney Racket, in which Amit Kumar is the prime suspect.
Bahadur had come in appeal against the Delhi High Court order dated May 20 dismissing his petition for anticipatory bail.
Bahadur has sought bail on the grounds that there was no evidence showing his involvement in the case and three other police officials arrested in the case have been interrogated at length and he was not required for custodial interrogation.
