Rupee weakens at 42.93/94 in opening trade
Mumbai, Jun 19: Rupee weakened at 42.93/94 against Dollar, depreciated by five paise from previous close of 42.89/90 per mirroring negative sentiments in the stock market. The Indian currency fell as the Indian bourses tumbled in the opening trade on the worries over high oil prices, dealers said.
However, Rupee traded in a narrow range band gap of three to four paise and further the dealers expect Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would intervene prevent the unit from breaking past 43 per Dollar.
