Prohibitory orders clamped in Imphal

Imphal, Jun 19 (UNI) Imphal West District Magistrate A Ibocha today imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC Sec 2 in the entire Imphal West district.

The order, which comes into effect from 1700 hrs, prohibits assembly of five or more people and carrying any weapon.

Permission had to be sought from the authority for taking out processions for marriage, funeral or religious purposes, the order said.
