Married woman's lover found dead

Barnala, Jun 19 (UNI) A 22-year-old man was allegedly killed by the husband and father-in-law of a woman with whom he was reported to have an illicit relationship in a village in this district.

According to police sources, body of Amrit Pal, resident of village Kothe Harbanspura, was found lying on the road early today. The deceased boy's father alleged that his son was having an affair with a married woman, Manu, living in the same locality.

The boy's body bore strangulation and injury marks on the stomach and at the back.

Amrit's father, Kaka Singh, in his complaint to police, alleged that his son was killed by Manu's husband Labhi, father-in-law Darshan Singh and mother-in-law Bhagwant Kaur who were highly agitated over the affair.

Police registered a case against the three accused as well as Manu under the sections 302 and 34 of the IPC. However, no arrests have been made so far.
