HAU's Dr Samunder elected ISWS Secretary
Chandigarh, Jun 19 (UNI) Dr Samunder Singh, Weed Scientist of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University Hisar has been elected Secretary of the Indian Society of Weed Science (ISWS).
During the general elections of ISWS, held recently at Delhi for electing new Executive Committee, Dr Samunder Singh was elected Secretary unanimously.
Dr Singh who is also working as Secretary of Haryana Agronomists Association and also as an Associate-cum-Executive Editor of Indian Journal of Weed Science has got published more than 90 research papers in a number of popular national and international journals of weed sciences.
Having worked on developing weed management recommendations for a number of field crops, Dr Singh, having Ph.D. degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow UK, has several "firsts" to his credit in detecting herbicide resistance, herbicide management, herbicide research and technology.
