Bodies of Gautam Basu and Ramesh Kanojia recovered, flood toll 13
Midnapore, Jun 19 (UNI) The bodies of Gautam Basu, former secretary of trinamool congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, and Ramesh Kanojia, a Delhi-based business associate of Basu, were recovered from Keleghai river today.
Altogether seven persons, including Mr Basu and Mr Kanojia, were carried away by the rising tide of Keleghai river near Poktapole on June 17, when they were moving in a car.
The bodies were recovered from a bush, about 2000 yards from the site of accident.
All three bodies have been recovered. Four other occupants were rescued yesterday, West Midnapore district Superintendent of Police R Rajshekharan said.
With the recovery of the bodies, the toll in the flood rose to 13.
