Banned crops over 150 kanals destroyed in Kashmir
Srinagar Jun 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police and Excise department in a joint operation destroyed banned crops cultivated over 150 kanals of land in south Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said following a tip-off that some farmers were cultivating banned crops, police and Excise department conducted a joint raid in village Mulhora Zainpora in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Later, they destroyed cannabis cultivation spread over 150 kanals of land.
A case has been registered against the owners of the land, they said adding banned crops over thousands of kanals of land has been destroyed in Anantnag and Pulwama district during the past one year.
