APCC to organise farmer rallies in all districts on June 23

Hyderabad, Jun 19: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president D Srinivas has said the Congress would organise farmer rallies in all district headquarters on June 23 to publicise the loan waiver scheme recently announced by the State Government.

Addressing the mediapersons here yesterday, he said he along with AICC General Secretary and State Congress affairs in-charge M Veerappa Moily would participate in the rallies at Nalgonda and Karim Nagar districts, while Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would attend the rally in Prakasham and Chittoor districts.

Stating that the Congress Government in the State was committed to the welfare of farmers, he said it was taking all steps to supply seeds and fertilisers to farmers in the Khariff season.
