3 railway employees killed as truck turns turtle

Kanpur, Jun 19: Three railway employees were killed and as many injured after a truck carrying them overturned in Chaubepur area here today.

The mishap occurred on G T Road near Imalia village, when the driver of an Eastern Railways truck, loaded with goods and coming from Kaasgang, lost control over its wheels.

Ram Prayas died on the spot, while Ramnath and Lala succumbed on way to hospital, police said.

The condition of the injured was stated serious.

All the employees were residents of railway coloney in Kaasgang.

The bodies had been sent for postmortem.
