Rs 280 cr scholarship scheme for SC and girl students
Bahadurgarh, Jun 18 (UNI) The Haryana Government has introduced Rs 280 crore scheme for providing scholarships to students belonging to Scheduled Castes and girls belonging to the families living below poverty line.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while addressing a religious congregation on the eve of 610th Jayanti of Sant Kabir Das at Chudani Dham near here last evening, said the main aim of the scheme, under which the governmnet was providing scholarship from Rs 100 to 400 per month, was to check the drop outs of the students.
Mr Hooda, after paying obeisance to Sant Kabir Das, assured the villagers that all round development of Chundani village would be ensured.
A road from Kablana to Chhudani would be constructed and it would be named after Sant Garib Das. About setting up of a chair after Sant Garib Das in any of the universities, he said he would consider it sympathically.
