Nitish pays homage to former Bihar minister
Patna, Jun 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid rich tributes to former state minister Anugrah Narain Singh on his birth anniversary at the Assembly premises here.
Mr Singh, a veteran freedom fighter and an able administrator, was the state's finance minister during the tenure of Bihar's first Chief Minister Sri Krishna Singh. He also held important portfolios, besides finance, in the erstwhile K B Sahay's government.
A function was organised to pay homage to Mr Singh, which was attended by Assembly Speaker Udai Narain Chaudhary, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra among others. All the dignitaries garlanded Mr Singh's statue to mark the occasion.
In another function, organised at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall here, the Chief Minister and a host of important dignitaries paid floral tributes to noted Hindi poet late Baidynath Mishra.
