Lok Ayukta unearths Rs 57 lakh in cash

Bangalore, Jun 18 (UNI) Karnataka Lok Ayukta unearthed Rs 57 lakh in cash from the house of the Mandya Deputy Commissioner of Excise, who was caught red-handed whille accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe for showing official favour.

According to an official release here today, L Krishna Kumar accepted the money yesterday from a person who had applied for transfer of a liquor shop from his brother's name to his mother's name.
