Fire engulfs 30 fishing companies in TN

Rameswaram Island, Jun 18 (UNI) As many as 30 fishing companies were gutted in a fire, near Rameswaram fishing jetty, in Tamil Nadu today.

Police said fishing materials, fishing nets and oil cans, all worth Rs three lakh, were destroyed in the fire.

However, no one was injured in the mishap.

Fire tenders from Rameswaram rushed to the spot and put out the flames.

The cause of the fire was not known immediately, police added.
