Air traveller with fake name arrested

Tiruchirapalli, Jun 18: The Airport police arrested a passenger here when he attempted to fly to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia by a fictitious name yesterday.

Police said N Kesavaperumal of Viriyur village in Sankarapuram taluk in Villupuram district obtained a passport in the name of C Anthonyraj by giving a fake address.

The immigration officials at the airport on verifying his documents when he was about to board a Sri Lanka flight, found it to be fictitious and handed him over to the airport police.

Kesavaperumal, was later remanded in judicial custody, police added.
