Water released from GA, Mettur dam level 99.65 ft

Tiruchirapalli, Jun 17 (UNI) The water level in the Stanley reservoir at Mettur across river Cauvery stood at 99.65 feet this morning against its full capacity of 120 feet.

The inflow into the dam was 1,769 cusecs while the discharge was 14,987 cusecs.

From the Grand Anaicut (GA) in Thanjavur district, 4,963 cusecs of water each was released into Vennar and Cauvery, while 1,500 and 1,287 cusecs was let out in Grand Anaicut canal and Coleroon respectively in the delta region for irrigation, PWD sources said.
