Novelist Ayyaneth dead in road accident
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 17 (UNI) Noted Malayalam novelist Pathrose Ayyaneth died today at a local hospital where he was admitted after a road accident.
He was 76 and is survived by a son and a daughter.
Ayyaneth met with the accident yesterday.
Popularly known as P Ayyaneth, he had written more than 60 books including 45 novels and short stories.
''Vazhvemaayam,'' a film based on one of his fictions, had won the Madras Film Fans Association award.
After graduation, he started his career as a teacher and later joined the Bureau of Economics and Statistics from where he retired as Assistant Director.
