K'taka suffered 15 per cent slowdown in IT: Minister
Bangalore, Jun 17 (UNI) Karnataka has suffered a slowdown of 15 per cent of capital inflow in the field of IT during the last eight months, IT and BT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu said.
Speaking at an officials meeting yesterday he said the BJP government will try reduced the deficit and has formulated a plan to induce fast paced growth of the high tech industry.
Being the leader in attracting IT industries from world wide and withing India, the recent development was dissapointing but it will be corrected. The stiff competition within the southern states in attracting companies in IT and BT sector will spur faster development, he said.
Mr Naidu who also holds the Information portfolio said the government will soon set up a 'IT Hub' on the web to help people to get instant information about the government.
