Ex-Service men oppose cancelling of House Tax exemption

Kottayam, Jun 17: Kerala State Ex-Services league leaders today came down heavily on the State Government for cancelling the House Tax exemption given to ex-service men in the state.

Speaking at a press conference here, they said that the previous UDF Government announced the House Tax exemption to ex-service men.

Now the LDF Government had cancelled the benefit on the reason that it was being misused. This could not be justified, they said, and appealed to the State Government to restore it.

Demanding the exemption of House Tax the ex-service men would stage agitations in the state, they warned.
