Cong MLA criticises not reducing prices of petroleum products
Indore, Jun 17 (UNI) Lashing out at the Madhya Pradesh Government for not reducing prices of petroleum products, state Congress General Secretary and party legislator Premchand Guddu today said it showed that the government did not care about people.
In a statement issued here, Mr Guddu said Congress-ruled state governments reduced the taxes on petroleum products, following an appeal by party President Sonia Gandhi in this regard, lessening the burden on the public.
Later, BJP President Rajnath Singh made a similar appeal to all the Chief Ministers in the BJP-ruled states, following which the Gujarat Government and a few other state governments reduced the taxes and provided relief to its denizens.
However, the Madhya Pradesh Government has kept the matter pending and postponed the meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee and the Cabinet in this regard.
