Two arrested for murder of senior citizens in Niti Bagh

New Delhi, Jun 16 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested two people in connection with the murder of a senior citizen couple in South Delhi last month.

Those arrested for the murder of 65-year-old Ashok Goel and his wife Lata Goel(58) at their apartment in Niti Bagh on May 26 included the servant Aulik.

Aulik was arrested from Sonagarhi area of Kolkata on June 13 by a team of Delhi Police which had gone there. Several robbed articles were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Interrogation of Aukil revealed that he along withy Raju had hatched a conspiracy to kill the elderly couple. On May 26, Aukil facilitated the entry of accused Ghansyam and then both of them stabbed and slit the throat of the victims.

Raju had earlier been arrested from his flat in Gulmohar park on May 28.

Aukil was produced in a local court at Kolkata and brought to Delhi in police custody.
