Small, medium grade sugar eases

Navi Mumbai, Jun 16 (UNI) Small and medium grade sugar eased today on lack of fresh demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Small and medium grade sugar declined by Re 1 and Rs 5 per quintal respectively, on sustained heavy selling pressure from stockists, traders said.

In ex-mill grade, small and medium grade sugar remained steady on moderate demand by stockists, traders saud.

Following were the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,495/1,568.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,440/1,470 and medium grade: Rs 1,480/1,500.
