Mother, son die in roof collapse in Punjab

Jalandhar, Jun 16 (UNI) A mother and her 22-year-old son were killed when the roof of their house caved-in in the Basti Gunjan locality of the city early today.

According to official sources, the roof collapsed due to heavy rains over the last two to three days in the city.

The deceased were identified as Urmila (55) and her son, Vikas Dhir. The second son, Sunny escaped with minor injuries and was admitted to a local hospital.

The police after completing the legal formalities handed over the dead bodies to the next of kin of the deceased.
