MLA's wife body will be brought tomorrow

Udupi, Jun 16 (UNI) The body of the Karnataka BJP legislator Raghupathy Bhat, who had allegedly committed suicide at a residential flat at Dwaraka locality in New Delhi yesterday will be flown here tomorrow for the last rites.

According to police sources the inquest of the deceased Padmapriya, wife of BJP MLA Raghupathy was conducted at Safdharjung Hospital in New Delhi, and the deceased husband and former BJP legislator Sunil Kumar were present in the hospital.

The body would be brought here tomorrow by noon and would be cremated in the evening.

The police said that the Delhi police have detained Athul Kumar, who had allegedly abetted Padmapriya to desert her house and take a flat at New Delhi, for questioning.

The state police will intensify their investigation once the inquest report of the deceased would reach them the sources said.

Padmapriya the wife of city BJP MLA, Raghupathy Bhat was disappeared since June 11 when she left the house in her car informing that she would go to her paretn's house in Karnad near Mulky. But, her car was found abandoned two days later near Kunjargiri temple.

After intensified search the police found that Padmapriya was residing at New Delhi in a residential flat at Dwaraka and by the time they reach she had committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan.
