Govt employees continue strike, admin paralysed in Goa
Panaji, Jun 16 (UNI) The Goa government staff continued their indefinite pen-down strike for the fourth consecutive day today, paralysing the administration in the state.
The employees, under the aegis of the Goa Government Employees Association, launched the strike on Friday demanding parity in wages.
The state Cabinet, which met today, discussed the demand but did not take any concrete decision. It also reportedly examined the proposal to reduce superannuation age from 60 years to 58 years.
Chief minister Digambar Kamat is slated to have another round of discussion this evening with the representatives of the association.
