Father-son duo killed in 'fire mishap'

Coimbatore, Jun 16: A father-son duo was charred to death when a fire broke out at their house at Ramanarayana layout in the city today.

Police that on information from the neighbours that smoke was billowing out of the house following an explosive sound, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and broke open the bolted door.

After extinguishing the blaze, they found two completely burnt bodies inside the house, that of Nandakumar (35) and his son Sai Ajay (five).

Investigation was on to ascertain whether it was a case of suicide or accident, police added.
