E-tickets in UPSRTC buses by July
Sultanpur, June 16 (UNI) At least 1,200 Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses will go high-tech with introduction of e-tickets by next month.
UP transport corporation manager L Vankateshwar Lou today told UNI that such facility will help in maintaining proper record of passangers list, besides estimating money collected.
In the firt phase, the scheme would be implemented in Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Noida, whereas Faizabad and nearby areas would be covered in the second phase, he apprised.
E-ticketing machines will bring convenience to both the passangers and conductors, however, its installation in one bus will cost around Rs 10,000, he added.
