Couple killed in mishap

Karur,Tamil Nadu, June 16 (UNI) A couple was killed on the spot when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a speeding lorry at Rangamalai Ghat Section on the Karur-Dindigul National Highway, near here, early today.

Police said, the deceased were identified as Mailappan (58) and Sowrakumari (50) of Goichettipalayam in Erode District.

The bodies were taken to the government hospital at Pallapatti for post-mortem, police added.
