Coldplay's latest release tops UK album chart

London, June 16 : Coldplay's latest album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' has landed the top spot on the UK album chart.

The band's fourth album has sold 302,000 copies since its release, becoming one of the fastest-selling records in history, reports BBC.

The sales outstripped the other four artists in the top five-album chart combined.

Neil Diamond's 'Home Before Dark' bagged the second place while Duffy's 'Rockferry' stood third.

Paul Weller's '22 Dreams' landed the fourth spot on the UK album charts.

Rounding off the top five was 'Here We Stand' by The Fratellis.

The top five on the UK album charts are:

2. Neil Diamond - Home Before Dark

3. Duffy- Rockferry

4. Paul Weller - 22 Dreams
