Yamaha launches its 'YZF-R15' motorcycle model in India

Chennai, June 15 : Yamaha launched its state-of-the-art 'YZF-R15' motorcycle model at Irungattukottai race track in Chennai on Saturday.

Ten Japanese motorbike experts performed various dare and devil stunts on this new bike.

The glamour quotient of the launch was kept high when Bollywood actor Madhavan walked in to make some presentations.

The new Yamaha 'YZF-R15' comes loaded with a liquid cooled, four-valve fuel injected engine and six speed gear transmission.

All this gives excellent controllability and manoeuvrability to maximize riding, cornering and braking performance.

According to the automakers the aim of introducing this bike in India is to enrich Indian biker's riding experience, however it's not meant for only the riding enthusiasts as was explained by Tsutomu Mabuchi, Managing Director, Yamaha India.

"This particular bike looks very racy but actually a very mediocre person can also drive this bike as you have probably seen today," said Tsutomu Mabuchi.

Yamaha 'YZF-R15' comes in two colours, racing blue and black.

The bike is priced at Rs. 97,425 ex-showroom, across India.
