Eloped woman returns from PoK

Jammu, Jun 14: A woman, who eloped with her paramour to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), returned along with her minor child from village Qasba last night on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here today said.

''Nageena Bi, 30, a mother of four children and wife of Mohd Afzal, a resident of Qasba, had crossed over to PoK along with one of her child and paramour Mohd Bashir, 24,'' sources told UNI.

However, both of them had breached the fencing and crossed over to PoK from forward village Qasba, about 10 kms from Poonch on March 28 this year, sources said.

''After about two and a half months stay in PoK, Nageena Bi, along with her child, returned to her village in Poonch district this morning after breaching the fencing last night,'' sources said.

Meanwhile, on receiving the information about her presence, police party rushed to the spot and arrested her.

However, during sustained questioning the alleged that her paramour was reported to have been detained by Pakistan army.

The police has registered a case against Nageena Be for illegal crossing of LoC, sources added.
