Circuit Benches at Dharwad and Gulbarga to function from July 7
Dharwad, June 14(UNI) Circuit Benches of the Karnataka High Court at Dharwad and Gulbarga will start functioning from July Seven, Mr Justice S R Bannurmath said today.
Talking to newsmen here after visiting the construction site at Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI), he said the Circuit Benches at Dharwad and Gulbarga would be inaugurated on July Four and July Five respectively by Chief Justice of India Justice K J Balakrishnan. Mr Justice R V Ravindran of the Supreme court and Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court C Joseph and Chief Minister B S Yaddyurappa would participate in both functions.
Mr Justice Bannurmath leading a team of High Court judges comprising Mr Justice Dipak Verma, Mr Justice K Shridhardas and Mr Justice A S Pachhapure, directed the Public Works Department authorities to complete the construction works before July Four.
Circuit bench at Dharwad would be functioning full time from Monday to Friday in the week and deal with old and new cases But, the cases of company and PIL subjects will taken up at Bangalore, he said.
