Bangladeshi held in AP village
Hyderabad, Jun 14 (UNI) A Bangladeshi was arrested for staying illegally for over 20 years at Nagamambapuram village in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, last night.
Police said Mohd Rabiullah Islam (34), working as Imam in a Masjid in Nagamambapuram, had come to the village at the age of 14 and had been staying illegally since then. He had gone to Bangladesh more than 12 times and returned. He married a Bangla woman Fatima in 2007.
Rabiullah recently sent his wife to Bangladesh as she was suffering from health problems.
Police said the illegal stay of Rabiullah came to light when the authorities went to his home to verify the address given in his passport application.
