Xerox India rolls out 'emergnig market' road show

{image-xerox india_13062008.jpg}Kochi, Jun 13: To strengthen its foothold in the SMB market, Xerox India Ltd. today rolled out 'emerging markets' road show to showcase eight newly launched products ranging from small and cost-effective A4 printers to rich monochrome MFPs, in the city.

Addressing a press conference here today, Marketing Manager Sumant Bhatia said the 16-city road show was targeted at tier-II cities and aimed at communicating Xerox's value proposition and ensuring better channel partner engagement in India. According to the Access Markets International (AMI) report, the SMB sector was growing at a phenomenal rate and was expected to spend Rs 5,600 crore in printing and printing supplies this year, Mr Bhatia added.

''SMB is a big opportunity in India and as per the report, India will be the fastest growing market in the APAC region with IT spending set to cross more than 20 per cent in 2008 and SMBs will be spending Rs 41,500 crore on IT in 2008,'' he said.

Stressing the importance of 'emerging markets' show, Mr Bhatia said ''Xerox has always focussed on the urban markets and is now focusing on making inroads into the smaller cities.'' The road show is part of Xerox's national channel strategy campaign running in cities like Indore, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Karnal, Rohtak, Raipur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Surat, Udaipur, Ranchi, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Madurai, Vizag and Kochi.

The products to be showcased include Xerox Phaser 3600 (40ppm A4 mono printer), Xerox Phaser 3250 (30 ppm A4 mono printer), Xerox Phaser 5550 (50ppm A3 mono laser printer), Xerox Phaser 3100 MFP (21 ppm A4 multifunctional printer), Xerox WorkCentre 5020 (20 ppm A3 mono multi-functional printer), Xerox WorkCentre 5016 (16 ppm A3 mono multifunctional printer), Xerox WorkCentre 5225 (25ppm A3 mono printer) and Xerox WorkCentre 5230 (30 ppm A3 mono printer).
